Ellamarie Russo-DeMara

DO, FACOG, CMP, physician, and managing member of Bounce Treatment Services, LLC. Licensed in New York, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

With over three decades of experience as an Obstetric and Gynecology physician, Ellamarie’s journey in healthcare has been shaped by a commitment to comprehensive care. In 2012, she embarked on a transformative path into addiction medicine, specializing in the treatment of opiate dependency. Since 2019, her focus has been exclusively dedicated to this vital area of healthcare.

Ellamarie’s expertise lies in outpatient maintenance treatment of opiate dependency, employing advanced methodologies such as Buprenorphine (Suboxone/Subutex trade names) to facilitate recovery and holistic wellness for her patients. With a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding addiction, Ellamarie is dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to individuals on their journey towards lasting recovery.

Ellamarie’s History:
After practicing OB/GYN since 1990, she faced a life-altering diagnosis of breast cancer in 2007 at the age of 46. Following aggressive chemotherapy treatment, she made the difficult decision to transition away from performing surgery and delivering babies, opting instead to continue her medical career as an outpatient Gynecologist. To broaden her scope of care, she pursued certification as a menopause practitioner, ensuring she could provide comprehensive support to her patients.

During her tenure at a Vermont hospital, she was approached by administration to undergo training in treating opiate dependency in the outpatient setting. Initially focused on women, she later expanded her practice to include men after obtaining permission from her governing board. Together with her husband, also an Obstetrician/Gynecologist, they established a private practice in New York exclusively dedicated to treating opiate dependency.

Tragically, in 2022, her husband passed away suddenly, prompting her to reassess her practice and her desire to serve more patients in need. With her children grown, she made the decision to downsize and relocate to New Hampshire in 2023, expanding her medical licenses to include the state. Embracing telemedicine as a flexible solution, she continues her journey of compassionate care, providing support not only to her existing patients but also to those in her new community and beyond.
